Woodbridge College opened in September 2018, in response to a need for quality post 19 education in the Bolton area for students with SEND. The college is part of the Woodbridge Group which is an Academy Trust comprising Firwood High School, Ladywood School and Ladywood Outreach Service.

The College is across two sites; one based in Kearsley and one in Heaton.
